The Suzuki Jimny has long been one of the most desirable and charmingly retro off-roaders. It is a more compact and affordable proposal for large off-road vehicles from companies such as Mercedes, Jeep or Land Rover. The Jimny has also received more than one preparation seeking to bring it closer to that type of model.
This Little G Traditional created by DAMD, one of the most common Japanese tuners when it comes to transforming the Jimny, is possibly one of the most desirable body kits if what you are looking for is to accentuate the adventurous and retro essence of the small Japanese 4x4. It manages to transform it into an all-terrain vehicle ready for any journey with a very close resemblance to the original Mercedes G-Class.
100% retro Jimny
The kit in question is made up of 10 pieces, including a new grille with horizontal slats and headlight protection with a fine mesh, as well as the yellow lights on the hood, also redesigned, as well as the bumper, where we also find fog lights. There are also new lower protections, new larger and retro rearview mirrors, luggage rack on the roof - the latter as an extreme option -, and all this on a body in a very military and retro khaki color, with a vinyl in the door area with a dromedary and the word "Traditional".
The new exterior styling reveals its elaborate suspension and its new Toyo Open Country 205R16C 110/108N all-terrain wheels, also with a retro style thanks to the new white wheels, including a spare fifth wheel in the rear.
The interior can also be revised with new checkered seat covers in red or blue and gray to round off, also inside the cabin, the new 100% retro style of this new Jimny.
What remains unchanged is its engine, which in Japan is a humble 658cc engine that offers just 63 HP and 96 Nm of maximum torque directly to all four wheels, associated with a five-speed gearbox or a four-speed automatic.
The complete kit is offered for about 340,000 yen, about 43,660 euros at the exchange rate, although its cost can also be reduced by choosing packs or individual pieces.
